The Jaraczewo commune is situated in the north-western part to wielkopolskie province. At the same time it is one of four communes of the Jarocin county.
The Jaraczewo commune covers 133 sq km and comprises 22 vllages-centres of administrative units called "sołectwo": Bielejewo, Brzostów, Cerekwica Nowa, Cerekwica Stara, Gola I, Gola II, Góra, Łobez, Łobzowiec. Łowecice, Łukaszewo, Niedźwiady. Nosków, Panienka, Parzęczew, Poręba, Rusko, Strzyżewko, Suchorzewko, Wojciechowo, Zalesie and Jaraczewo - the seat of commune authorities. The commune is inhabited by the total of 8,593 people.
The commune is crossed by the national road no. 12 Łęknica - Dorohusk and the secondary railway route Jarocin - Leszno.
The Jaraczewo commune is a typically plain area with rare moraine island mountains. The relief is of glacial origin. The commune encompasses a part of South Wielkopolska Plain in the borderland between Leszczyńska and Kaliska Uplands divided by Żerkowsko-Rydzyńska Progracial Valley. As far as the relief is concerned the north section of the commune located in Żerkowsko-Rydzyńska Proglacial Valley is most diversified as it comprises four moraine island mountains and the difference of relative heights reaches 20 m. The hills include:
- so called Pagór Góry (Hill of Góra), about 500 m long and approx. 200 m wide, reaching the height of 112 m above sea level and about 20 m of relative height;
- so called Pagór Panienki (Hill of Panienka), about 3 km long and up to l km wide, built of sands, with the peak reaching 107 m above sea level and the relative height reaching 15 m;
- so called Pagór Zalesia (Hill of Zalesie), two island mountains reaching the height of 97 m above sea level and about 5 m of relative height.

Because of its situation the commune has got a good access and contacts with conurbations of Poznań and Wrocław and with adjoining counties: Jarocin, Krotoszyn, Środa, Śrem and Gostyń. (...)
